It should be noted that many of the softwares on this list contain malware and a whole darn lot of it. “Free AVI MPEG WMV MP4 FLV Video Joiner” for example is bad, and judging by the comments on its C|NET download page, so is “Freemake Video Converter”.

  • Juhuachad

iDealshare VideoGo is the best choice for merging FLV files, which can join several FLV files into one FLV or directly join FLV into one MP4, merge FLV to MP3, merge FLV to AVI, merge FLV to MOV, MPG, DV, MKV, H.265, WebM.

WHY THE FUCK there’s not a single program encoding two simpe mp4 files without re-encoding??? You should particularly mind about that, since the actual files are very big and laptop cpus not so strong, so processing 2 hours of 1920×1080 mp4 files with the re-encoding takes two days!!! And it’s dangerous to make work a laptop’s cpu for so long!!

You have to just do it with ffmpeg. There is a ‘concat’ thing for it that just appends them. You have to list the filenames to a text file then do the command

      ffmpeg -f concat -i filelist.txt -c copy output.mp4

Try Free Video Cutter Joiner. It does not require re-coding as long as the files are of the same format and dimensions. Like you can’t combine a 640×480 and a 800×600 but if they’re both 1280’s you’re good to go my friend. I use it all the time.

I’ve found mp4joiner, it works smoothly, but not with mp4 previously cut with mp4cutter.

Why oh WHY… Can I not find a single “MP4 Video File Joiner” anywhere that does not need to completely recode video files that are EXACTLY the same (same container, same code, same screen size… same EVERYTHING) just to join them together into a single video file that is exactly the same as the original format???

I do not want to re-encode, I do not want to have to run a program for between several hours to days just to join together 2 video files into 1 which is going to be reduced quality of the original anyway.

2 video files exactly the same format… joined together into 1 file that is exactly the same format as the original 2 files. WHY IS THIS SO COMPLICATED?

    Freaking Annoying. >:(

Thanks bud… I’ll try it. Fingers Crossed.

The name is a bit misleading (sounds stupid lol) and the UI is kind of aged and dry, but it gets the job done. Also, even after finding this program, I’ve tried others, but it’s the only one that verily doesn’t re-code to combine video files.

    • Mister Sausages Video Archive

Video to Video converter has an option for a ‘direct stream’ convert, so as long as all the clips have the same properties, it will simply merge them into 1 file. I’ve been using it for years to do exactly what your asking.

Go to ‘join video files’ in the tools dropdown menu and add your clips, press ok and it will take you to the convertion page. Click ‘direct stream’ and your done.

What I’d like to see is a Batch mode, for joining of several files in turns. If anyone knows – please add (esp. to join those 10 minutes youtube clips, that were uploaded before youtube increased their quota)

Thanks for the list – the 2nd was good
