Sweet Home 3D

Sweet Home 3D is a free open source home and interior design software. It is extremely easy to use which makes it appropriate for the beginners. Plus, it can be used by professionals too as it is a feature rich home design software. You just need to create a floor plan and then import various interior accessories to the plan and create a desired home. It provides both 2D and 3D views simultaneously. While you can edit and view your design in 2D mode, you can view and navigate through the design in 3D. It provides both aerial plus virtual visit options in 3D.

In it, you can find few dedicated sections like Bathroom, Kitchen, Bedroom, Living Rooms, etc. You can decorate interior of various rooms of a home using these sections. You can find various objects to design interior including kitchen cabinets, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, cooker, sink, clothes washer, bath, fitted bath, shower, toilet unit, washbasin, bed, sofa, chairs, fireplace, TV, laptop, piano, aquarium, etc. It also lets you add various staircases in your plan. These include appliances, bathroom accessories, armchairs, chairs, fireplaces, lamps, kitchen components, sofas, tables, wallpapers, cupboards, wardrobes, doors, fence, stairs, etc. Just drag and drop objects to your floor plan and place them accordingly.

It provides Inspector (to adjust object properties, material, etc.), 2D plan view, and 3D view tabs to design a home. You get various options in 3D view to look and navigate through the interior design including fly around selected point, choose which way you walk, look around from current position, etc. You can setup camera parameters and then export 3D view of interior design as PNG, JPEG, TIFF, or BMP image file.

Note: In the free version of Live Home 3D, saving a project is disabled and the output image contains watermark. It provides a paid version which removes these limitations and contains many more advanced features.
