How to create GPX files in Garmin BaseCamp:
In order to create a new GPX file, follow these simple steps:
- Go to File > New > List and create a new list.
- Now from Tools menu, you can create new waypoints, tracks, and routes in the created list. These components are created using 2D or 3D map.
- All added points, routes, and tracks are accessible from left panel. From there, you can manually edit their properties. For example, for a waypoint, you can enter its name, coordinates, elevation, depth, symbol, proximity, temperature, contact information, web link, file link, references, etc. As for routes, you can add an activity profile (Driving, Hiking, Bicycling, Direct, RV, etc.), route directions, etc.
- You can also select multiple waypoints and create a new route using them.
