Here is a list of best free FLAC player software for Windows. FLAC or Free Lossless Audio Codec is an audio coding format used for lossless compression of digital audio files. Audio files compressed by FLAC algorithms consume 50 to 70 percent less space without compromising the audio quality. In order to play the FLAC audio files, you need special FLAC players. Hence, I have compiled a list of FLAC players that you can use to play FLAC audio files.
There are two types of FLAC players; some of them can play only audio files, while others can play both audio and video files. Not just FLAC audio but audio files of many other formats like WAV, MP3, MP2, AAC, OGG, etc. can also be played. As these players are basically music players which provide various handy tools. In many FLAC music players, you can easily create and export playlists in various formats like PLS, M3U, M3U8, etc. In some software, you can also import external playlists. Besides this, important audio tweaking features like Equalizer and Audio Filters are also present in most software. You can also easily adjust Pitch, Bass, Treble, etc. just by varying the bands of the Equalizer. Along with local audio files, you can also connect to and stream online radio using these software. Clementine is my favorite FLAC player because it lets you play both locally stored as well as cloud stored FLAC audio files. It is also a very good music player that provides a lot of music-specific features. Plus, its ability to support a large number of audio formats is also impressive.

Clementine is a free open source FLAC player software for Windows. This software is mainly a music player in which you get a lot of music specific features for a better music listening experience. Using this software, you can play both locally stored music files as well as music stored in cloud services like Amazon Cloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. You can also stream online music and listen to various internet radio stations.
In this FLAC music player, you can easily create, import, and export playlists of various popular playlist formats like M3U, M3U8, XSPF, PLS, ASX, and CUE formats. Similar to playlists, it also supports various audio formats other than FLAC, such as MP3, OGG, FLAC, MPC, M4A, AAC, etc.

Its sync feature is also pretty good, and if you have a MusicBee account, then you can also maintain similar playlists on multiple devices.
The output audio produced by this software is really good. However, you can still use the inbuilt 15-band equalizer to manually tweak audio parameters. You can also incorporate external plugins to further enhance the performance of this software. Another good thing about this software is that it can play audio files of various different formats like MP3, FLAC, AAC, OGG, APE, WMA, WAV, MPC, and more.

You can also arrange the order of songs by dropping them to the right side of the interface.
In terms of audio playing features, you only get standard Play/Pause button, Volume Controller, Seekbar, and Next/ Previous track buttons. Overall, it is very basic software, but it can still play music files of various formats such as AAC, FLAC, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, and more.
Foobnix
Foobnix is a free, portable, and open source FLAC player software for Windows. Like other software, it can also play audio of various formats such as SWF, VOB, WAV, WMA, MP3, AAC, APE, AIFF, etc. This player doesn’t come with many features, but its multitab interface can be very useful for audiophiles because it provides multiple tabs for both playlists and for music folders. That means you can quickly toggle between playlists and music folders without much hassle.
This music player can also be used as an Online Radio Player because it supports thousands of radio stations. Some of the popular radio stations that you can listen to are DI.FM, SKY.FM, MYRADIO.UA, GUZEI.COM, etc.

How to play FLAC audio using FFMPEG:
In order to play a FLAC music file, you need to first write the path of ffplay.exe. After that, put a space and enter -i and then submit the path of music file under double quotes and press the Enter button to play. Your command will look like this:
ffplay.exe -i "E:\LISTOFFREEWARE.flac"
As soon as you submit the command, music will start playing in a separate audio player window. From the new window, you can also go forward and back by clicking on the left or right part of the audio player window.
